Today on this nice day, which was not very cold but also not very hot we did go out in the nice city Sittard in The Netherlands. And on this nice day we went to the nice day care in Sittard. And at the nice day care we could learn something about (basic) portrait drawing techniques. And next to all hard art-work there was some space for a nice glass of water or a nice cup of coffee.
And today it was a little bit special day because the accompanist of the nice day care, which is a very experienced artist, did gave some interesting short art-lessons about portrait drawing techniques. It was a short and informal art-lesson about creating good portrait drawings. Some things we learned are:
-1- The first thing to do is to create a face in the shape of a egg.
-2- The eyes must be created at a (invisible) line in the middle of the face/egg. The space between the left and right eye must be the length of one (invisible) eye.
-3- Do create the artwork with some in thought “mathematical figures”.
-4- Use some “shadow” to create a nice artwork
-5- And there were some other useful learnings/tips at the day care today, but it will be a too long list to mention every tip/learning here at this website. So we learned a lot about portrait drawing today at the nice day care.
We already made today some interesting pictures about the short art-lessons at the nice day care. You can see all pictures underneath if you want! The only thing you have to do is to scroll down at this webpage! We wish you already some drawing-fun and art-fun at this website!
