Today at this very hot day we did go out in the nice city Sittard in The Netherlands. And in this nice city in The Netherlands we went to the nice day care. And at the nice day care there was today some “Portrait Drawing” lessons with the theme: “Shadow”. And next to all hard art-work with some hot temperatures there was some space for a nice glass of water or a nice cup of coffee.
And as earlier said there were some “Portrait Drawing” lessons at the nice day care today. And the “theme” for the “Portrait Drawing” lessons today at the nice day care was the theme: “Shadow”. A good portrait exists from creating the right “Shadows”. And the goal of the portrait drawing lessons today were to practise with the right shadows while creating a portrait drawing. Also a goal was to create more “awareness” of the importance of working with good shadows. The task from the accompanist of the nice day care was to create a bigger artwork that was based on a example artwork with a lot of shadows. The first step was to create the right “compartments” in a bigger format on the paper with a pencil. After this the example with shadows could be used to copy this with a pencil on the big paper. After this the shadows could be painted on the big paper with the use of black acrylic paint and white acrylic paint. It was also a good practise to practise the right colour-mixing.
We already made some interesting pictures about this “Portrait Drawing” lessons in Sittard at the nice day care today. If you want you can see all pictures underneath! The only thing you have to do is to scroll down at this webpage! We wish you already some shadow-fun and art-fun on this website!
